It’s that time of year again! The New Hope Arts and Crafts Festival! The New Hope Arts and Crafts festival is a juried art fair that takes place every year at the beginning of Fall.
What is “Juried” you ask?
Juried events have a selection committee for art & craft exhibitors, and require that the artisan submit slides or photos of their work or products. The selection committee (the jury) reviews all applications before choosing exhibitors for the event. This festival will feature Over 160 juried fine Artists and Craftsmen will exhibit using media such as oil paintings, watercolors, pastels, sculpture, fine and fun jewelry, ceramics, works in wood, fiber, furniture, wearable art, glass art, photography, and more.
There will also be food vendors and musical entertainment provided by young local musicians.
The Festival takes place at the New Hope – Solebury High School parking lot, just a few minutes walk from the center of the business district, and there is a free bus to from the Festival parking to South Main St at the Bucks County Playhouse.
Think Christmas presents. Does Macy’s really need your money? Does Grandma really need another pair of slippers? Attend the Arts and Crafts Festival and get something really interesting that she will love AND support an artist in the process!
As Dolly Levi in “Hello Dolly” said: “Money, pardon the expression, is like manure. It's not worth a thing unless it's spread around, encouraging young things to grow.”
